Small Front Yard Transformation

When this home/store owner first contacted me about designing the garden space for her new store front I was met this challengingly small garden area measuring 8 ft. by 5 and 1/2 ft. Adding to the challenge was a badly over grown neighbouring property, gated access to the back yard and local dogs using this area as a pea post.

Wanting the garden to enhance and harmonize with her store image and to reflect the products that she sells I choose to use the English knot gardens as my inspiration for this design. The results were amazing.

The owner did a beautiful job of enhancing the design and her store front with a lovely array of seasonal flowers and in June 2011 (much to the owner's delight) her front yard was nominated by a city worker and became a show case garden for Pickering Blooms.

GOOD THINGS CAN COME IN SMALL PACKAGES!
